Southeast Brook Falls

DSC00099 Southeast Brook Falls are one of two official waterfall trails in Gros Morne National Park.  Southeast brook falls cascade and drop over distinctively familiar rock, almost 30 metres from the top.  Unfortunately, there is very little view of the entire fall, as the trail only leads to the top.  A trecherous path leads to a rocky outcrop halfway down the slide, but unless the visitor is confortable with climbing using roots and rocks, it is not recommended.

To get there: Head along Hwy 430 (Viking Trail) toward Rocky Harbour from the park entrance.  The trailhead is nine kilometres from Wiltondale.  Park and hike half a kilometre to the landing at the top of the falls.
